Community Energy England is holding their first Regional Member Forum of 2024, in collaboration with Community Energy South and supported by UK Power Networks and Ouse Valley Climate Action. This event is gearing up to be a lively gathering of like-minded individuals passionate about community energy.
This in-person event will take place on Thursday 21 March 2024 at 11:00 AM. Thanks to Lewes District Council who have kindly provided the venue for this event.
Throughout the day, there will be various engaging sessions taking place, covering a wide range of capacity building topics relevant to our our sector. Expect interactive workshops focused on strengthening community energy groups and networking opportunities that will help you build valuable connections.
Event Programme:
10:45am – Registration and refreshments
11:00am – Welcome from CEE and Community Energy South
11:15am – Choose one of two interactive sessions:
- SESSION 1: CEE’s Emma Bridge will be guiding a panel of experts in an interactive session designed to help community energy organisations build capacity and strengthen their operations through financing and fundraising.
- SESSION 2: Rhion Jones, founder of The Consultation Institute will be delving into the critical partnership between Community Energy organisations and Local Authorities. The session aims to explore strategies for effective collaboration that helps Local Authorities towards achieving their Net Zero targets.
12:30pm – Networking Lunch: Connect with fellow practitioners and stakeholders over lunch. Exchange ideas and experiences to strengthen the bonds within our community.
1:30pm – Choose one of two interactive sessions:
- SESSION 3: UK Power Networks Workshops
Explore key themes such as Flex, LAEP, Supporting Connections, and Leaving No One Behind in a mini series of workshops presented by UK Power Networks.
