The Eco Open Day and Open Homes Event hosted by Saffron Walden Community Energy in Littlebury on March 16th was a great success. Over 100 people visited from at least 14 different villages and towns around Uttlesford District in Essex.
The event, part of the Littlebury Energy Project, provided visitors with information about renewable energy technologies and the chance to visit three open homes in the village. The village hall had exhibits and advice from local renewable vendors and energy champions.
Officers from the Uttlesford District Council were also on hand to give information on grants and funding.
Ollie Pendered, CEO of Community Energy South attended the Open Day. The event was supported by our CommuniPower project, helping residents in rural towns and villages to cut carbon in their homes.
