We are looking for 5-10 people living or working in the Basildon, Billericay or Wickford area to form one community organisation which will help homes or community buildings save energy. As volunteers, you will be the leaders, develop projects and enable other young people of all ages to take part in those projects.
Community Energy South (CES) is a non-profit organisation which develops community energy businesses. Working with the local councils CES provides free mentoring to set up energy groups, develop business plans, energy projects, and find funding.

Skills needed?
Being organised, good at communicating with others and excited about saving carbon. Free training and support will be provided over several months.
Commitment required?
- 1-3 hours per week (plus monthly daytime or evening meetings depending on group preference).

- None – support is provided for free.
- Where needed, the projects decided by the new business later on will be supported to attract grant funding.
